Governor Maura Healey, Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, Public Safety and Security Secretary Gina Kwon, and State Fire Marshal Jon Davine honored 170 firefighters on Tuesday. Individuals and groups from across the state were awarded for emergency responses that took place between June 20, 2024, and June 30, 2025.

โ€œThis yearโ€™s awards reflect selfless acts of courage and skill that saved lives, protected homes, and delivered our most vulnerable residents from danger,โ€ said Governor Healey. โ€œTo every firefighter who puts on the gear and answers the call, you have my gratitude and the gratitude of our entire state. We are so proud to support you as you support our safety every day.โ€

The awards were granted based on 17 emergency events, including two individual citations for meritorious conduct, ten group citations, and 13 Medals of Valor.
