A Harpswell man died after a morning house fire. It happened just before 4:30 Tuesday morning on Harpswell Neck Road.
The Fire Marshalโs Office says firefighters found one person inside the home. Officials have tentatively identified him as 78-year-old Hugh MacFarlane.
They say he died at the scene. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death. The fire, which caused significant damage to the home, is under investigation.
