First Responder Conference in West Monroe to help frontline workers learn how to process trauma

Life Church West Monroe is hosting a conference to highlight the struggles first responders face during their day-to-day work. The First Responder Conference 2025 will be for those who work the frontlines to learn how to process the trauma they face.

Life Church West Monroe will host from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13. Current and retired first responders are invited to the event along with family and friends. Former first responder Adam Davis will talk about his experience of work-related trauma and recovery. Davis was the scribe in the negotiations of the 2013 Alabama Boy in the Bunker hostage case.

Conference attendees will get a free book and t-shirt while supplies last. There will also be a barbecue dinner, Chick-fil-A, and a fish fry. West Monroe Police Captain CJ Beck said space at the conference is limited, so you should reserve your spot.
