Multiple Wayne County fire crews, first responders battle farm blaze

VIDEO: Crews with two different Wayne County fire departments worked alongside other first responders on Sunday morning to battle a large farm fire. Just before 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 3, the Monticello Fire Department posted on social media that crews were sent to โ€œan agricultural propertyโ€ off East KY-92.

The Susie Volunteer Fire Department reportedly helped and provided manpower. While battling the fire, officials said that crews were sent to respond to a crash on Morris Hill Road. While returning from that scene, another crash happened on Damron Drive. Just before 2 p.m. on Sunday, the department said, while still working at the KY 92 fire, crews were dispatched to a fourth call for a utility line on fire at 1275 North. KY-92 East was reportedly shut down during the fire so a supply line could be laid across the road from the hydrant to the scene.
