Fire ravages historic Jackson County building

VIDEO/PHOTOS: A fire left a historic Kentucky building severely damaged. The Pond Creek Fire Dept. was called out to the Old Annville Institute about 11:30 Wednesday night. The chief says 12 fire departments responded. Firefighters worked all night and through the day, but most of the building’s walls collapsed as fire within the main unit continued to spread. It houses Grace Covenant Ministries, which posted a statement with pictures on Facebook around 8 a.m. Thursday. “I am not sure how to even start a post like this,” it read. “A lot of emotions this morning.” The institute was built in 1922.
