The Daviess County Fire Department is welcoming their newly promoted Chief. Eric Coleman has officially started working in the position.
Chief Coleman started in the fire service back in 1992 on the Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department. Officials say Coleman’s grandfather was a founding member of the department where his father and uncle also served. He began his career with the Daviess County Fire Department in 2006. According to a post from the Fire Department, Coleman has served as an Engineer, Lieutenant, and Assistant Chief. Chief Coleman says he has lots of ideas for the future including growing the department.
