One person is dead after a building fire in central Wichita Saturday evening. It happened around 7:05 p.m. near the intersection of East Boston Avenue and South Mosely Avenue. Fire crews were dispatched to a building near the intersection after receiving a report of a fire on the second floor.
When firefighters reached the second floor, they discovered a man trapped inside. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. The identity of the man has not been released. The Wichita Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire.
