One Injured in Aurora Fire

On Monday, August 25, 2025, at approximately 8:08 p.m., Aurora Fire Department was dispatched to Lincoln Street for a working structure fire with entrapment. Upon arrival, firefighters learned that the fire was in the basement apartment on the back side of the house.

They went to the back part of the house to gain entry but had an issue due to the victim, a 77 year old male that collapsed in front of the door and was blocking the entrance. APD and EMS crew were able to gain entry and pull the victim to safety. Upon the first engines arrival, a hose line was deployed, and the firefighters made entry into the apartment and were able to extinguish the flames in the bedroom apartment. The 77 year-old male was flown to University of Cincinnati hospital by University Air Care for burns to the arms and smoke inhalation. Damage estimate $50,000.
