Multiple departments respond to Elkhart house fire, dog and cat rescued

VIDEO: The Concord Township Fire Department reports crews responded to the 60000 block of Pembrook Lane for a reported residential structure fire around 11:22 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, fire officials found a working house fire with smoke and fire showing. Firefighters had the fire under control within 25 minutes. Crews rescued a dog and cat from the home, and no injuries have been reported. Concord was assisted by Baugo, Goshen, Harrison, and Jefferson Fire Departments utilizing Elkhart Countyโ€™s new Mutual Aid Box Alarm System. Crews quickly attacked the fire and prevented it from spreading any further into the home.
