VIDEO: Fire Chief Bryon Woodward will retire from the Mishawaka Fire Department after leading it for 10 years. Woodwardโs last day in office will be February 13, 2026, the city announced.
โThroughout his tenure, he has played an instrumental role in advancing our mission, supporting our firefighters, and ensuring the continued growth and readiness of the department,โ the city said in a news release. โHis leadership has helped shape the strong foundation we stand on today.โ
The city said it is beginning the transition process to replace Woodward.
โWe are grateful for the dedication, vision, and steady guidance he has provided,โ the city said. โAs we begin the transition process, please join us in thanking Chief Woodward for his service and wishing him the very best in this next chapter.โ
