Fire heavily damages house in Pendleton

A fire damaged a home early Sunday morning in Pendleton. According to a Facebook post from the South Madison Fire Territory, around 2:50 a.m. on July 20, crews were called to a reported structure fire with possible entrapment on Taylor Street, near West State Road 38 and Pendleton and Eden Pike. When firefighters arrived, they said they saw “heavy” flames and marked the fire as working. After searching the home, firefighters determined nobody was inside and began to attack the fire. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control approximately 15 minutes after their arrival on scene. No injuries were reported in the fire.
