State Fire Marshal Investigating Two Fires in Cahokia Heights

VIDEO: The Illinois state fire marshal is investigating two fires that happened overnight in Cahokia Heights. The first one happened just before midnight on Lazercheff Drive, off Illinois Route 157.

When crews arrived, they found heavy fire coming from a home in the area. The fire was knocked down, but the cause is under investigation, fire officials say. The second fire happened two hours later at a vacant home on Camp Jackson Road. Officials tell First Alert 4 they found obvious signs the fire was intentionally set. The state fire marshal has been called to investigate both fires.
