Man flown to hospital following Fulton County grain bin rescue

VIDEO: One person was taken to the hospital after multiple agencies responded to a grain bin rescue in Fulton County. An 85-year-old man was successfully removed from the grain bin, according to a Facebook post by Cass-Putman Rescue.

The post also said the man was trapped up to his neck in grain for an hour. Fulton County Emergency Services Disaster Agency Director Chris Helle said crews were called in at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday morning for reports of a person trapped in a grain bin south of Marietta. Primary responding agencies included Smithfield Fire Protection District, Cass-Putman Rescue, Fulton County Sheriffโ€™s Office, and Fulton County EMS. Cass-Putman Rescue said the man was in stable condition at the time and was flown to OSF Saint Francis in Peoria.
