Man Dead After RV Fire on Chicago’s South Side

VIDEO: A man is dead after a recreational vehicle fire on the city’s South Side. The blaze started around 10:40 p.m. Sunday on the 10700 block of South LaSalle in the Roseland neighborhood.

According to police, officers responded to a call of a fire where the Chicago Fire Department was already on scene extinguishing a fire inside a RV. CFD notified police that an unresponsive man was discovered inside the RV with severe burns and smoke inhalation.

The fire department treated the victim, but he was pronounced dead on the scene. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. CFD and Arson Detectives are investigating the incident.
