A house in the 2400 block of Crescent Lane was destroyed in a fire in the afternoon of Dec. 6, Aurora Department officials said Monday. A total of 26 personnel responded to the fire that started at about 4:50 p.m., with the first units to arrive finding smoke showing from the rear of the single-family house. Inside, a fully involved fire was burning, according to a news release.
Homeowners confirmed to first responders that all occupants safely evacuated. Some crews deployed a hose line to extinguish the fire while others searched and ventilated the home.
Firefighters found smoke throughout the house but no fire extension, officials said. No injuries were reported, according to the release.
