VIDEO: Several fire departments were called early Monday morning to a large fire in Winnebago. Pecatonica, Leaf River, German Valley and Oregon fire departments responded to the flames at 5:17 a.m. Memorial Day in the 13900 block of Berglund Rd. in Winnebago. According to Tri-State Fire Alerts on Facebook, the call was originally for a field fire, but it was changed to a large trash fire call. Photos of the fire were posted on the Pecatonica Fire Protection Districtโs Facebook page. The pictures show the blaze coming from a pile of tires. No injuries have been reported and it is unclear what the cause of the fire is.
