Silver Valley Fire Rescue, in coordination with the Shoshone County Ambulance Service District, IDL Cataldo, and Shoshone County Sheriffโs Office, conducted a water rescue approximately eight miles up Coeur dโAlene River Road in Kingston at approximately 11:00 am Thursday. Three individuals, two adults and one child, were trapped in their residence and unable to evacuate due to swift-moving, rapidly rising floodwaters.
Members of Silver Valley Fire Rescueโs Swift Water Rescue Team, utilizing the districtโs recently acquired rescue boat, were able to navigate the floodwaters and bring all occupants safely to higher ground. Additional firefighters and sheriffโs personnel provided crucial support throughout the operation.
