At approximately 9:44 p.m. on November 24, 2025, the Moscow Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 436 North Main Street. The first engine arrived on scene in under four minutes. Initial reports indicated a second-floor apartment was filled with smoke and the building fire sprinkler system had activated in the same apartment.
When crews arrived, no smoke was visible from the exterior. Upon entry, firefighters encountered moderate smoke conditions throughout the affected apartment, but no flames. Firefighters shut off the fire sprinkler system and conducted salvage and overhaul operations. Ventilation was performed to clear remaining smoke from the building. Firefighters assisted with the removal of water from the 2nd floor apartments as well as the commercial space on the first floor.
