Lightning sparked a fire Tuesday afternoon that has burned about 1800 acres according to a Facebook post by Idaho Bureau of Land Management. The Mill Fire is about five miles southeast of Patterson, in the Pahsimeroi Valley on the Lemhi Range. Multiple crews are working to contain the fire, but the level of control and containment is unknown at this time. Grass, brush and timber are fueling the fire as it actively moves through the terrain. Gusty winds and steep terrain are making the containment hazardous. There are currently no evacuations, but the fire is threatening structures in the area.
