The Garden City Police is reporting that a city park was set on fire early Monday morning, destroying a play structure in the process. GCPD says that just after 1:00 am, Boise Fire and Garden City Police were dispatched to Pamela J. Beaumont Riverfront Park off of 42nd St. in Garden City to a reported fire. Firefighters arrived and found the playground equipment fully engulfed in flames. Investigators believe the fire was started by human(s) and they are investigating it as arson. The estimated damages are more than $100,000 to the park.
