The Boise Fire Department was called to the foothills Tuesday afternoon to assist an injured hiker. Boise Fire tells CBS2 that they were dispatched around 1:00 pm to Dry Creek Trail. A female hiker had fallen and injured her shoulder and required assistance getting out of the foothills. Firefighters found the patient three-quarters of a mile up the trail, according to BFD. Crews assisted the woman with medical attention and were able to assist her down the trail to an ambulance, which transported her to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
