Waipahu blaze extinguished by Honolulu Fire Department; no injuries reported

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Multiple agencies responded to a fire that was reported at a single-story home in Waipahu on Sunday afternoon. The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) responded to Leowaena St. at approximately 1:53 p.m. and found that the fire had extended to a neighboring home. Crews had water on the fire by 2 p.m. The fire was deemed under control at approximately 2:14 p.m. and was fully extinguished by 3 p.m. HFD completed a search to confirm that no one was inside of the home during the incident. An investigation has been initiated to determine the fireโ€™s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. No further details were provided regarding this incident.
