Waipahu blaze extinguished by Honolulu Fire Department; no injuries reported

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Multiple agencies responded to a fire that was reported at a single-story home in Waipahu on Sunday afternoon. The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) responded to Leowaena St. at approximately 1:53 p.m. and found that the fire had extended to a neighboring home. Crews had water on the fire by 2 p.m. The fire was deemed under control at approximately 2:14 p.m. and was fully extinguished by 3 p.m. HFD completed a search to confirm that no one was inside of the home during the incident. An investigation has been initiated to determine the fire’s origin and cause as well as to provide damage estimates. No further details were provided regarding this incident.
