The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) responded to a building fire incident that was reported in the Kalihi area Sunday morning. The incident was initially reported at approximately 9:28 a.m. and the first and second alarms were set off at 9:33 a.m. and 9:36 a.m. As HFD crews responded to the scene, they discovered smoke rising in the air and called for other units to respond. The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) also responded to the scene that was reported to be located on 931 Austin Lane and N. King St. According to HFD, water was on the fire by 9:39 a.m. with multiple units responding to the scene with approximately 60 firefighters battling the blaze.
