VIDEO: A second woman has died from her burn injuries on Thursday, a night after the deadly fire at a house in Ewa Beach. The Honolulu Fire Department extinguished a house fire on Fort Weaver Road in the area south of Ewa Beach Community Park on Wednesday night, Oct. 29. When multiple fire units arrived at the scene, smoke was coming from the front of a single-story house and a detached structure located behind the property was also on fire.
The fire resulted in seven people getting treated for burns or smoke inhalation. Firefighters discovered one unaccounted person under the part of the house that collapsed and the remains of a 93-year-old woman were later retrieved. The dogs of a family who lives there were also killed in the blaze. A 32-year-old woman was taken to a burn center by paramedics for multiple burns. The 32-year-old was pronounced dead at Straub Medical Center on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 9:15 p.m.
