Crews were battling a tractor fire on a side road in Washington County, according to the post from the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff Joel Cochran made a post noting that Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies worked a large tractor fire alongside the Oconee and Deepstep Fire Departments on Tuesday morning.
Cochran said crews were dealing with the fire near Mac Tucker Road off of Fall Line Freeway. He said that no one was hurt.
He said that, while the fire was severe, it was likely due to the size of the tractor and that he had seen similar sized tractor fires before. Cochran said that they deal with several tractor fires throughout the year and he said that the fire was likely not a result of foul play
The sheriff said that, as he understands it, the scene has been cleared.
