A man is in custody after deputies say he attempted to start a fire inside a Target store in Barrow County on Sunday morning. According to the Barrow County Sheriffโs Office, deputies responded to the store on Loganville Highway in Bethlehem around 11:41 a.m. after receiving reports of a man trying to ignite a fire inside the building. When deputies arrived, they quickly evacuated the store, ensuring all customers and employees were safe. No injuries were reported. Barrow County Fire officials confirmed the fire had already been extinguished by the time crews arrived. While the flames were out, minor damage was reported inside the store. The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was taken into custody at the scene.
