A shed caught fire Saturday evening in Washington County.
The fire was on Bethea Lane, which is off of Highway 242, according to a social media post from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
They were asking drivers to avoid the area if possible.
The fire was extinguished at 7 p.m., according to the Sandersville Fire Department. They said that no one was injured in the fire.
Sheriff Joel Cochran said that they received a call about the fire at 5:13 p.m., for a storage shed that caught on fire behind a house.
Both deputies and firefighters were on the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
