Firefighters from across the state will gather in Warner Robins on Saturday, April 26, for the 4th Annual Central Georgia Firefighters Combat Challenge, an event designed to test their strength, skill, and enduranceโall while raising money for a meaningful cause. The challenge takes place at the Warner Robins Fire Department Training Grounds, located at 300 Foy Evans Drive. Gates open at 7 a.m., with opening ceremonies set for 8 a.m. and the event expected to conclude around noon. Hosted in partnership with Southern Santa of Houston County, the event raises funds for first responders facing serious health challenges, including cancer and other major illnesses or injuries. The competition includes a series of physically demanding events such as the High Rise Pack Carry, Hose Hoist, Victim Rescue, Hose Advance, and the Kaiser Sled.
