Coweta County home collapses to rubble after devastating fire

VIDEO: A house was destroyed after a fire broke out in Coweta County on Tuesday morning, according to the Coweta County Fire Department. The fire happened around 11 a.m. at the home on Marcie Court. When crews arrived, they found a garage fire quickly spreading into the two-story house. Crews were inside the home trying to put out the fire, but as the fire continued to spread through the home, all firefighters moved out of the home. While crews were using water from the nearby hydrants, they started to receive low water pressure and asked for additional water tanks. All residents were able to make it out of the home safely, and no one was injured. 11Alive SkyTracker flew over the home, showing a heavy cloud of smoke billowing over the neighborhood. The home could be seen down to rubble, and fire crews were still on scene. Flames could still be seen coming from the home as of 12:30 p.m. The fire marshal’s office was on the scene investigating the cause of the fire.
