Video shows fire consuming vehicles at Opa-locka junkyard

Video shows intense flames consuming vehicles at a junkyard in Opa-locka Monday. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said they responded at 8:04 p.m. to find several cars on fire near the 13000 block of Cairo Lane.

Crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the back of the junkyard, and “firefighters initiated a fire attack while preventing extension to nearby exposures.” Authorities had to call for more manpower to fight the blaze, and they used foam and aerial ladders to attack it from multiple angles. No injuries were reported. It was not immediately clear what sparked the flames.
