PHOTOS: Eight units from Escambia County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire on the 3300 block of Gulf Beach Highway on Tuesday night. ECFR arrived around 6:39 p.m. and encountered a two-story home engulfed in heavy flames and smoke. ECFR attacked the fast-moving fire, which originated on the second floor and quickly spread to the first floor. The blaze was brought under control by 7:54 p.m. After extinguishing the flames, officials determined the home was a total loss. An investigation by ECFR revealed that the fire started on the second floor, but the exact cause could not be determined due to extensive damage. There were no injuries or fatalities reported.
