Marion County Fire Rescue officials say two recruits are recovering after a vehicle crash in Dunnellon. MCFR officials say the two young men were taken to a trauma hospital Saturday morning. One of the recruits, Daebrun Sparks, is in intensive care. His injuries include a lacerated kidney and liver, and several broken bones. His recovery will be a long one, and officials say his fiancรฉe is expected to give birth to their first child within days. The fire department is raising fundsย to support the family.
