VIDEO: Superheroes of all kinds visited Rising Leaders Academy Friday morning. This is the third year the public charter school has invited local first responders in honor of National Superhero Day. The event allows for students and law enforcement officials to communicate and interact in a positive environment. Students learned about various professions and equipment with the Panama City Fire Department, Panama City Police Department, and more. “So, law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, we want them to just be able to be hands-on with them. To learn a little bit about what they do for the community, and maybe it’ll spark interest for them for their future,” said Rising Leader Academy’s Safety Director, Timothy Minnick.
