PHOTOS: A missing dog’s cries led firefighters in Port St. Lucie to a ditch — and a heartfelt reunion. Firefighters with the St. Lucie County Fire District (SLCFD) say they were dispatched to Fallon Drive for a dog rescue Saturday morning. The caller told firefighters that she heard her missing dog crying from a ditch and called for help. One firefighter, Caden Wilson, found the 14-year-old small dog at the bottom of a ditch, unable to make its way back up the hill, per SLCFD. With Wilson’s help, the dog was safely rescued and reunited with his grateful owner.
