Hernando County crews respond to RV fire, preventing ‘catastrophic’ damage

An RV is severely damaged after Hernando County firefighters found it in flames. Hernando County Fire Rescue says this happened just before 10 a.m. Sunday morning in the area of California Street in Spring Hill. Photos posted by HCFR on X show a huge cloud of smoke in the area that was blocking multiple portions of the area. When crews arrived, a water can fire extinguisher was used to knock down the flames, which saved the RV from “catastrophic fire damage.”

HCFR says this was an electrical fire that started above the microwave. Other photos posted by officials show the RV’s ceiling and parts of the kitchen area damaged. Firefighters took out all remaining hot spots and did not report any injuries in this incident.
