A brush fire in Fellsmere has been contained to one-eighth of an acre. The Fellsmere Police Department reported that they, along with the Indian River Fire Department, the Florida Department of Forestry, and the Indian River County Sheriffโs Office, responded to a brush fire on Monday morning. Officials said that while the fire, located in the 12500 block of 77th Street, just south of the canal that runs parallel to the street, has been contained, smoke and ash remain visible in the surrounding area. Authorities are monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of local residents.
