Englewood Fire Department celebrates career of retiring lieutenant

The Englewood Fire Department said farewell to Lt. Lenny Foley, who retired Tuesday after 32 years with the department. Coworkers, family, friends, and former colleagues gathered outside Station 71 as he finished his final shift. During his walk-out ceremony, an honor guard folded the U.S. flag that had flown over the station, and Chief Kevin Easton presented it to him in recognition of his service. The accolades continued on social media. โ€œLt. Foley, your humor, infectious enthusiasm, and big smile will be deeply missed,โ€ the department wrote on Facebook. โ€œWe wish you all the best in your new journey and look forward to your visitsโ€”coffeeโ€™s always on, and we canโ€™t wait to hear about your adventures.โ€
