VIDEO/PHOTOS: First responders shut down part of Wisconsin Avenue Monday morning after an industrial dumpster caught fire. In a post on the X platform shortly before 11 a.m., the DC Fire and EMS Department said firefighters were called to the 1800 block of Wisconsin Ave. for a construction dumpster on fire in a parking garage. Crews knocked down the flames and were working on removing the dumpster from the Safeway garage while clearing the smoke. Photos from the scene showed crews moving the dumpster with a truck into the street, with scorched trash spilling into the roadway. The fire department said crews removed the trash from the dumpster and wetted it down, preventing another fire from rekindling. Fire investigators continue to investigate the cause of the blaze; however, no one was injured.
