Emergency responders in Dewey Beach were called to a construction site on Coastal Highway for a report of an electrocution just before 9am Monday morning.
Investigation by Dewey Beach Police shows that a member of a concrete crew was working on the third floor of the structure and made contact with an electrical line using a concrete float. The electrical line runs along Coastal Highway adjacent to the building.
Police were able to move the victim to the first floor where they were met by Rehoboth Beach fire personnel and County EMS. The man was flown to Christiana Medical Center in critical condition.
The investigation is continuing.
