One person was taken to the hospital after an explosion at a house in Suffield. A propane tank exploded on Second Street around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. The injured person was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. The severity of their injuries is unknown. The fire department said the house is believed to be under construction and crews are still on scene. It was not clear how many people lived there, however the Suffield fire captain said the home was uninhabitable. His crews dealt with more than just the explosion when they arrived. โIt was a propane explosion and when we arrived on scene there was a secondary fire in the rear of the building,โ said Captain John Guzie. The fire marshal is investigating what caused the propane tank to explode.
