A firefighter in North Haven suddenly died on Sunday, according to the department. John Bysko, a 14-year veteran of the department, died on Sunday morning.
Bysko was known for his ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations, the department said. “His unique sense of humor and passion for the job will be deeply missed by all who worked alongside him. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Bysko family and stand ready to provide any support they may need in the weeks ahead,” the North Haven Professional Firefighters Association wrote in a Facebook post. Bysko’s cause of death was not released. Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
