VIDEO/PHOTOS: Fire crews said they battled a blaze at a 3-story apartment building in New Britain Sunday evening. Fire officials said around 7:24 p.m., they responded to an apartment building fire on Hurlburt Street, which had around six units.
Crews saw the rear porches fully engulfed. Fire officials said the blaze spread from the back porch to the attic and the second floor. The residents of the home made it out safely, but many pets are missing, according to fire officials. The fire was under control within an hour, fire officials said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
