Emergency crews responded to a fire in Naugatuck on Saturday night. At around 11:39 p.m. firefighters were deployed to the area of Field Street after a report of a garage fire, the fire department said. When crews arrived, they found a 4-car detached garage engulfed in flames. Officials said the house that was in front of the garage had melted siding but no there was no fire extension to the structure. A car that was in the garage was destroyed. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No further details were released.
