VIDEO: The northbound side of Interstate 95 between exits 72 and 73 in East Lyme was closed on Saturday morning after a tractor-trailer and car collided, causing the trailer to go up in flames, said state police. State police say the crash happened at around 6:49 a.m. near exit 72. Minor injuries are reported. Local and state departments were on scene and as of 2:45 p.m., the highway has reopened. The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection responded to a fuel leak as a result of the crash and has mitigated the spill with no significant damage to the environment.
