Meriden fire officials say crews responded to a debris pile on fire at Silver City Recycling Thursday morning. Crews were seen at the 828 Old Colony Rd. facility around 9:30 a.m. Meriden Fire Chief Cristina Shock said the debris pile included tires still on the rims and due to exposure of high heat, some exploded.
