Suspect accused of setting fire to downtown Colorado Springs building on the run

A building in downtown Colorado Springs has been significantly damaged after police said it was intentionally set on fire. The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said the damage is mostly on the inside of the building at the 700 block of North Tejon Street. CSPD said the Colorado Springs Fire Department was sent to help extinguish the fire just before 8 a.m. Thursday. According to police, the fire caused several thousand dollars in damage, and preliminary investigations showed that someone purposely started the fire and is still on the run.
