Crews respond to 2-acre fire near Flatirons in Boulder

Crews were on the scene of a small fire near the Flatirons in Boulder Tuesday night. The Boulder County Sheriffโ€™s Office said in a post on X that people may be able to smell the smoke and see the fire from Boulder and Gunbarrel areas. The fire is located between Flagstaff and Boulder Canyon in the areas of Chapman Drive and Summit Road.

The sheriffโ€™s office spokesperson emphasized that the fire was slow moving and isolated with low level flames, and was estimated to be about two acres from initial units arriving on the scene. Several fire agencies have responded and there are no evacuations in place. The sheriffโ€™s office said it will provide more information as it becomes available.
