On Monday, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation said they have launched a death investigation after a body was found in a burning car south of Pueblo. The CBI said a report was received of a car fully engulfed in flames on the west side of the frontage road parallel to I-25, near mile marker 92, just after 1 a.m.
The Pueblo Fire Department responded to extinguish the fire, and upon inspecting the vehicle, the CBI said firefighters found the body inside the vehicle. Colorado State Patrol and the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control responded to the scene. The CBI said they have taken over the investigation, working to learn more about what happened.
