Fire crews in San Jose responded early Thursday to a large warehouse fire next to the SAP Center. When San Jose Fire Department firefighters arrived around 3:30 a.m. at the corner of North Autumn and West St John streets, they found two structures fully engulfed in flames, officials said. The structures are abandoned warehouses that were set to be demolished later this month. Due to the instability and danger, crews took a defensive position and raised truck ladders to attack the fire from above. By 5:30 a.m., visible flames at the scene were extinguished. Water continued to be poured down from above to combat possible flare-ups. No injuries were reported in the blaze. The SAP Center was not damaged in the incident.
