Structures threatened as crews battle Brown Fire near Vacaville

PHOTOS: Multiple structures were threatened after a wildfire broke out Tuesday around 4:45 p.m. near Vacaville, according to Cal Fire. The fire, dubbed the “Brown Fire,” is located near the 7500 block of Pleasants Valley Road. As of 9 p.m., the Brown Fire was listed at 16 acres, according to Cal Fire. The fire is 75% contained, and “no homes were lost.” However, one outbuilding was destroyed in the fire. Firefighters remained on scene for mop-up. Fire progression had stopped by 5:40 p.m., according to officials. The agency announced before 5 p.m. that an evacuation order was issued. The fire is about 10 miles northwest of the Vacaville outlets. Cal Fire posted photos of the aftermath of the Brown Fire. The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
